Have you ever been interested in writing data to NTFS formatted partitions from within Mac OS X in a very simple, efficient, and elegant manner? The ability to mount and read NTFS volumes has been available in Mac OS X for quite some time, but Mac OS X users have wanted and still need the ability to write data to these disk partitions. Well now you can do all three very easily. While Apple software engineers may actively be at work attempting to provide native read/write access to NTFS volumes from within Mac OS X, software developers from the open-source community now have a solution. Simply download and install MacFUSE. Then download and install NTFS-3G for Mac OS X.

Currently, I actively use both open-source projects to write data to my Windows boot camp partition from within Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.2).
